However, things won't always go smoothly each time. Due to its free-to-use and convenient features, the Xbox game bar is widely used by many Windows users. The Xbox game bar is a Windows 10(also available on Windows 11) built-in game capture tool which offers convenient access to record the gameplay process. Ideally, I'd like to record the 'part' of the screen instead of the full screen, but I'll deal with it if I have to. This is needed to record video inside Chrome and not gaming related. Xbox and Xbox Game Bar do NOT show up in the start menu under All Apps, but inside Settings, I can go to "Gaming" and see the option for the Game Bar there, and if I select that I can turn it on/off with no effect.Įssentially, I just need the screen recorder part of the Game Bar and I'm open to using third-party apps.

I did a search but can't find the instructions I followed originally. At some point in the past, I followed a tutorial on a site to remove the search Xbox Game Bar on my Windows 11 computer, and I can't remember which one to reverse it.
